Saturday's Game
This Saturday the THUNDER suffered another tough loss. The focus for the week was scoring and positioning. We shifted things around giving some of the girls who have been playing a lot of defense up to the front and moving some of the other gils back. The game was a heated contest again with the CHILI PEPPERS scoring the first two goals of the game. The THUNDER fought back scoring the next goal. Before the half the CHILI PEPPERS were able to put one more in the net. In the second half the THUNDER defense stiffened and the offense sparked. All the girls were moving very well, positioning themselves to break up the plays on defense, and spreading out on offense. Several offensive drives were made by the THUNDER with multiple passes on the way towards the goal, but the CHILI PEPPER's goal keeping was exceptional on Saturday and prevented the THUNDER from scoring. The final score was 4 to 1.
COACHES COMMENTS
The THUNDER finish up the season next Saturday with a game against the LEMON HEADS. I know that the girls will be fired up for this game and I know that they will play a game to make their parents and coaches proud.
